Can Photography Website Get Emails with Documents Attached?

Can Photography Website Get Emails with Documents Attached?

I want to set up a website that can showcase the work of thousands of photographs. It also must have the facility to enlarge each individual photo for viewing.

I will need to have a facility whereby customers can email photographs to me within the website.

In addition, I will also need to respond to all customers via email. How can I guarantee my mail doesn't just end up in their spam folder?

Thank You.

Website Hosting with Email Account
by: Sue

Hi Robbie,

What a wonderful idea for a website! It sounds fabulous. . .

Yes, there are some website hosting companies that offer an email account along with the hosting service. Read the fine print though, sometimes an email account will cost extra or might have a limit on the number of emails that are allowed at a given time.

You can use the link on this page to review a chart that compares features of several different web hosting services:

Another option would be to ask photographers to upload their work right to your site. The web hosting service I use includes this capability. You can test out how the process works on this page:

All you need to do is give your graphic a title, select the picture you want to upload, then write a description about it. When you click the "Build It" button you will see exactly what the finished web page will look like!

For your last concern, I not sure that there is any fool-proof way to be sure that the emails you send from any email account won't end up in a spam folder.

There are several different strategies you can use to minimize this possibility though. For example, I ask visitors to add my site email to their address book which will prevent any communications from ending up in their spam folder.

Looking forward to seeing the graphic you upload!

:-)

Sue
