Although I primarily use the search function on my websites to help visitors quickly find the information that they are looking for, the Optimization Team made several suggestions for improving revenue generated by the adsense search boxes.

To make money with adsense search boxes, the Optimization Team suggests that an search box should either be embedded in the center of the top site logo banner or centered directly underneath the page title.

Since two adsense search boxes are allowed on each web page, the second search box does best when located at the end of every web page.

To maximize the income potential using search boxes:

• A longer text box length for Search generated more revenue than short ones Locate search boxes located at the same place on every web page.
  
  
• Use colors for search boxes that compliment your website colors.
  
  
• Select a color palette for search boxes that is subtle but not too subtle.
  
  
• Use the feature in the Adsense module to create a custom search results page on your site.
