Is This a Good Affiliate Business Online Opportunity

I have been researching an affiliate business online opportunity in order to determine which website niche would offer the most prospects for future growth. Do you have an opinion on a company called Commission Junction?

It is a company that seems to represent many different merchants who offer commissions based upon the sales generated through a website.

Do I understand this affiliate relationship correctly?

I would basically become an online sales person that happens to recommend specific products and if I make a sale, those companies would pay me a commission. Is that right?

I?m curious to know if Commission Junction the best company to work with if I plan to build my own website business.

My thought is that making online sales to earn commissions would be the primary way I plan on earning money through the website I am thinking of building.

Hi Shean,

Commission Junction is one of many affiliate networks. They work like a middle man to connect website owners who wish to sell products or services with a list of online merchants that pay commission.

It's rather like working as a salesperson for whatever companies that have the products or services that you want to promote on your website.

Other popular affiliate networks are LinkShare, Share-a-Sale, Amazon.com, and Google.

Joining an affiliate network is a great way to choose the specific products and vendors that fit best with your niche. Since each site features different merchants, I would suggest that you several before joining. (Although all the ones I've listed are free to join.)
