How do you go about selling products online? I just finished an ebook and I also have a physical product that I would like to sell.

How do I go about collecting the purchase price? I've looked a PayPal but that seems rather complicated. I would like customers to be able to download the ebook themselves rather than sending it to them as an attachment to an email (or something like that).

For the physical product, of course, I will be sending to customers but I would like to offer one payment method for either product. Is this possible? (Hopefully it isn't hard to do either.)

I'm also wondering where other websites get those "Buy Now" or "Add to Cart" buttons.

Do you have any suggestions on how to operationalize the process of selling products online?

Great suggestion Sue. I think EJunkie rocks! Set-up couldn't be easier, they process all the payments, store the electronic product files right on their servers, provide the download link to the customers and send me an email to notify be of each sale.

It couldn't be easier. I think it's the best way to go for selling both electronic eProducts as well as hard goods.

They even offer an opportunity to build your own affiliate sales force!

How to Sell Products Online

Actually it's not that difficult to operationalize selling products online for both the purchase of an eproduct and a physical product.

Have you heard of E-junkie.com? It is an online resource for listing both types of products; electronic and hard goods.

They do charge $5.00 a month but that includes the option to list up to 10 different products.

I use E-junkie to sell my eproducts because I find their system easy to use and I can also upload the files right to their server. Once the purchase is completed, E-junkie automatically sends out an email to the customer (with a copy to you) along with the download link! Quick, efficient and once you set it up E-junkie takes care of everything else.

E-junkie also handles the sales process for hard goods as well. They provide a selection of "buy it now" buttons, the option to set-up your own affiliate program, and offer your products for sale in their online shop.

You could also list your eBook with ClickBank to build a larger affiliate force but you will need to set-up a separate sales page and your own eproduct download page on your website.

Start off with E-junkie and see how it goes then check out affiliate marketplaces like ClickBank to build-up your online sales force.
