The Four Hour Work Week
by Timothy Ferris
My Review

The four hour work week is a pie in the sky dream for most.

But not for Timothy Ferris!

The 4 Hour Work Week

His best seller, "The 4-Hour Workweek" is actually an instructional guide to creating a four hour workweek for anyone interested in working less and earning more.

How many of you get up each day and go to work because you have to earn money? Raise your hands. (Come on, raise 'em high, no one can see you 'ya know!)

Author of The 4-Hour Work Week, Timothy Ferris, thinks you're nuts!

Why work so hard?

His philosophy is to work less (much less) but work smarter and more efficiently.

In other words kryptonite is to Superman as work is to Timothy Ferris and he has the formula to prove it.

The Four Hour Work Week

To be honest, when I started reading this best seller, my first thought as, "This guy is one of those employees that scam the day away for all they are worth while pretending to actually work."

The four hour work week?

Bah. . . .

business opportunity

Don't get me wrong.

Every ruse Tim Ferris describes when he was a full-time employee are tactics we've all used at one time or another to avoid doing the actual tasks demanded by our jobs. But seeing it put in writing is just a bit disconcerting at first (to say the least.)

But Timothy Ferris methodically reveals a method to his four hour workweek madness:
  • Work efficiently.
  • Work smart.
  • Work effectively.
  • Batch tasks.
  • Strategize to accomplish more in less time.
  • Leverage opportunities to be rewarded for performance.
  • Earn the privilege of escaping the office in exchange for working remotely.

The 4-Hour Work Week is actually a carefully orchestrated instructional manual on how to work less, accomplish more, and earn the recognition as an indispensable, valuable employee for a job well done by negotiating a work from home arrangement. (That way, no one knows that you accomplish in 4 hours what other employees take the entire week to complete.)

Needless to say, by creating a four hour workweek for yourself leaves you with the freedom to enjoy your time in a myriad of adventurous ways.

In a word, this book ROCKS!

Once I got past the first few chapters, I found the 4 hour workweek fascinating.  It's an enthralling prescription for changing the traditional mind set of that "must do" four letter work, WORK.

It's well worth the read.

To be perfectly honest, I personally think that "The Four Hour Work Week" should be required reading for every human being on the planet. My recommendation is to read the book at least once a month until you gather up the courage to start changing your concept and, most importantly, your approach to WORK.

The 4-Hour Workweek accomplishes exactly what Timothy Ferris intended.  To re-wire and re-define the traditional thinking about work and provide the blueprint for escaping the 9 to 5 prison that we all allow ourselves get captured in. . . .

Pssst. . .

The book is MUCH cheaper on than at the bookstore!
(Like half the price!)

  Don't miss a thing. . .
