What is the Single Best Link Building Strategy to Build Web Site Links, and Get Backlinks?

What is a Good Link Building Plan?

What is a Good Link Building Plan?

I know I need a good link building strategy but I'm not sure what is the best way to build web site links to my site and how to get a lot of backlinks. (Those are links from other websites and directories to mine, right?)

I've just started a website which I plan to add my own store to sell my craft items soon. I have read that in order for people to find my site on the internet that I need to get a lot of other websites to link to mine.

What is the fastest and best way to build web site links? I do also work full-time right now so if you could just tell what the single best link building strategy is that would be great.

Best Link Building Strategy

My top three picks would be article marketing, press releases and participation on niche related forums.

Link Building, Backlinks and Web Site Links
by: Sue

Well Tomas, I wish that there was just one, single way to build links but if there is one I haven't been lucky enough to have found it yet.

I have found that building backlinks is really a matter of using a combination approach that involves all the link building strategies possible that will ultimately results in creating a diversified portfolio of web site links that will please any search engine. (For which your site will be richly rewarded by ranking your web pages higher in the search engines results.)

You don't have to do it all at once. For example, one week set yourself a goal of listing your website with 20 "niche" related directories. The next week, write a few articles and submit it to one or two high ranking article directories like Ezine Articles, Buzzle, or GoArticles.

Join a forum related to your topic, write a Squidoo, leave a comment on a blog related to your topic, answer a few questions on Yahoo Answers, submit a WikiHow, exchange links with other niche related sites (you can give Value Exchange a try, it's a free resource that matches your site up with other sites interested in exchanging links), and the list goes on and on.

Be sure to include a link back to your website in every link building strategy that you do (using anchor text in the hyperlink back to your website) and over time your site will gradually (and naturally) build up a wealth of backlinks.

Happy Link Building! :-)
